The College Went to Sichuan University to Conduct Research and Exchange on Professional Accreditation

In order to promote the engineering education accreditation of water conservancy and hydropower engineering with high quality, on April 11, President Cao Ying, Vice President Hu Jian, Deputy Director of Department of Hydropower Tang Keming and other 5 people went to Sichuan University College of Water Conservancy and Hydropower for research and exchange of engineering education accreditation work. Yang Xingguo, president of Sichuan University College of Water Resources and Hydropower, and Xie Hongqiang, vice president of the College of Water Resources and Hydropower, participated in the exchange and discussion.

In the exchange meeting, Prof. Xie Hongqiang introduced the history and future development layout of Sichuan University College of Water Resources and Hydropower, and made a presentation on how to promote engineering education accreditation from the perspective of professional accreditation experts in terms of curriculum evaluation, benchmarking construction, system design and work coordination; Prof. Li Yanling gave a detailed introduction on the general idea, main initiatives, condition construction, implementation path, key points of self-evaluation and focus and effort points in the accreditation process of Sichuan University Department of Water Resources and Hydropower, and shared the work experience in writing the self-evaluation report and the main work content of experts during on-site inspection.

On behalf of the college, Cao Ying thanked Sichuan University for its warm reception and said that the practices and valuable experience gained by Sichuan University in promoting engineering education accreditation are very worthy of our learning. The two sides had an in-depth exchange on system construction, training program revision, talent training quality evaluation, course assessment, teaching quality monitoring and other aspects.

This study and research has a strong guidance and reference significance to the engineering education accreditation work of the college, which has laid a good foundation for promoting the engineering education accreditation work, advancing the practice of new engineering construction and improving the quality of talent cultivation in engineering majors.
