1、Strengthen the construction of teaching staff

Implement the strategy of "strengthening the college with talents", strive to introduce 2-3 excellent doctoral students from domestic and foreign universities and famous research institutions to work in the college every year, and introduce 1-2 teaching assistants and full-time experimental technicians. By 2025, the overall size of the teaching staff will reach about 55.

According to the development needs of professional disciplines, carefully purchase instruments and equipment, adhere to the principle of teaching needs first and giving due consideration to teaching and scientific research, focus on the construction of energy and power engineering under the premise of giving consideration to the coordinated development of various disciplines, and constantly improve the hardware conditions of the laboratory. We will improve laboratory management systems such as laboratory managers' responsibilities, laboratory safety management system, laboratory safety training system, hazardous chemicals safety management system, accident emergency response plan, management measures for public large-scale precision instruments and equipment, and promote the standardization and institutionalization of experimental teaching.

2. Promote the construction of practice and training base

Promote the construction of engineering training center in the school, focus on the construction of planned areas in batches, and strive to fully open all areas. Strengthen the construction of off campus practice bases, actively promote school local cooperation and school enterprise cooperation, and build 1-2 industry counterpart industry university research collaborative education bases for each major.

3、Undergraduate training and specialty construction

According to the unified deployment of the University's enrollment work, the annual enrollment plan is about 420 people, including about 120 people in agricultural water conservancy projects, about 150 people in water conservancy and hydropower projects, energy and power engineering, and the number of undergraduate students remains at about 1700.

According to the professional standard of "provincial first-class", strengthen the professional construction of agricultural water conservancy engineering to achieve the professional acceptance level of "provincial first-class"; Build the major of water conservancy and hydropower engineering into a first-class major at the school level and strive to build a first-class major at the provincial level; Strive to build the major of energy and power engineering into a first-class major at the school level. By 2025, hydraulics and irrigation and drainage engineering will be built into provincial online and offline hybrid courses, hydraulic structures and engineering thermodynamics into school level online and offline hybrid courses, and hydraulic engineering construction into school level offline courses; Build the virtual simulation experiment of overflow dam discharge into the provincial virtual simulation experiment teaching project, and build the virtual simulation experiment of pump operation and working principle and the virtual simulation experiment of biomass (garbage) power generation into the school level virtual simulation experiment teaching project.

4、Discipline construction and postgraduate training

1. Refine the discipline direction and actively apply for vertical projects

Carefully refine the discipline direction, strengthen the construction of agricultural water and soil engineering and civil and water conservancy, and strengthen the construction of academic teams. In the direction of agricultural water and soil engineering, form two teams of efficient water-saving irrigation and water and soil environment and resources, and in the direction of civil and water conservancy, form two teams of water disaster and water environment and hydraulic rock mechanics. From 2021 to 2025, strive to apply for more than 5 national scientific research projects, undertake 8-10 provincial, ministerial or prefecture level scientific research projects, and obtain an average annual scientific research fund of about 1 million yuan; Published more than 100 included papers in SCI and China Science and technology journal excellence action plan journals; Strive to win scientific and technological awards at or above the provincial and ministerial level.

2. Improve the curriculum system and improve the quality of postgraduate training

Improve the postgraduate training program of agricultural water and soil engineering and civil and hydraulic engineering, and optimize the curriculum system. Strengthen the management of postgraduate research integrity and academic ethics education, mid-term assessment, opening report, postgraduate class discussion, off campus professional practice, thesis defense and other learning processes, and strengthen the management of degree thesis replication rate detection and thesis submission for approval. Select off campus tutors and participate in postgraduate training. From 2021 to 2025, about 150 postgraduates will be trained.
